Public Image Ltd have been confirmed to appear at the Benicàssim International Festival in Spain on Saturday, July 17th 2010. PiL will be headlining the 2nd stage.

After returning in December 2009 for seven monumental concerts in the United Kingdom–their first shows in 17 years–PUBLIC IMAGE LTD (PiL) are now set to play their first show in the United States in 18 years at the COACHELLA VALLEY MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL on Friday, April 16 (opening day of the three-day event) in Indio, CA. The previously mentioned John Lydon Culture Show special debuts on BBC4 this Tuesday, January 5th. The show is an expanded version of the 10 minute PiL feature on The Culture Show from December.
As well as additional footage, John talks about 'Flowers of Romance', Shakespeare, Mozart, and his childhood. The show will be repeated on BBC4 and will also be available on the BBC iPlayer service for 7 days. 'John Lydon - A Culture Show Special', BBC4 Tuesday 5th January 22.30-23.00.

PiL wrapped up their long awaited return on Thursday at the Camden, Electric Ballroom. Lu Edmonds, Scott Firth, Bruce Smith, and of course, John Lydon proved all the doubters wrong. The gigs were absolutely stunning, a 2 hour set featuring a wide variety of songs from all eras. "Public Image. Proper music for proper people"

For the first time in over 17 years Public Image Ltd play live tomorrow night at the Birmingham Academy. Shows follow in Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester and London; including 2 performances at the Camden, Electric Ballroom in North London. All 7 gigs are set to be something very, very special and not to be missed. We put our word on it.

Absolute Radio's John Lydon special interview airs tomorrow night, Sunday, December 6th, at 9pm. John will be picking the music, including several PiL tracks. Absolute Radio, John Lydon Hour. Sky News' PiL interview is also scheduled for tomorrow. Please note this is scheduled but not confirmed.
If you enjoyed PiL on The Culture Show on Thursday (which we know you did) look out for a 30 minute special edition of the show in January. Featuring an extended interview and additional footage. The show debuts on BBC4, January 5th 2010 at 10pm; and will also be repeated.

BBC2, The Culture Show, tomorrow Thursday, December 3rd. PiL were interviewed for the show and filmed performing stunning versions of 'Religion' and 'Rise'. The show airs at 7pm, and is repeated at 11.20pm. It will also be available via the BBC iPlayer service for 7 days.
John Lydon will also appear on the BBC1, One Show at 7pm on Friday. John was interviewed in his old house in Finsbury Park.
Look out for PiL on Sky News in the coming days performing 'This is Not a Love Song' and 'Public Image'.

John Lydon will appear on Absolute Radio's, Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show tomorrow, Thursday 26th at approx 8.15am. An extended interview with John picking music will later be aired. More info to follow.
John is also interviewed in this weeks' Big Issue Magazine. The Telegraph newspaper will publish their interview with John tomorrow. The interview is now available online.
Next Thursday, December 3rd, sees PiL make a very special appearance on the BBC Culture Show where they were filmed performing 'Rise' and 'Religion'; as well as being interviewed. BBC2, The Culture Show, December 3rd, 7pm.

Virgin Records are re-issuing 'Metal Box' on CD on December 14th. The 'Plastic Box' compilation is also re-released the same day.
'Metal Box' will be re-mastered and - like the original 1979 vinyl LP – come as 3 separate discs. The 4CD 'Plastic Box' compilation was first released as a limited edition in 1999 and features 64 tracks in total; spanning from 1978-1992. See Discography for more info…

John Lydon had an extensive interview in Friday's (September 25th) Yorkshire Evening Post, featuring on the front cover of their MusicScene pull-out.
"It will be the full gamut of PiL, every emotion possible. It's a seriously solid show; it's a good two hours. It will be an agonising treat for the old vocal cords. There's some serious challenges to musical perspective going on. I'm tempted to drag my violin and saxophone on stage but I don't know if I've got the wind."

Public Image Limited Return
December 2009 sees the return of Public Image Limited for 5 very special live dates in the UK. Their first shows in 17 years.
The shows will mark the 30th Anniversary of the release of 'Metal Box' but PiL will NOT be limited to tracks from one album and the tour will showcase their whole career.

4 Men with Beards – the US label who re-issued 'Metal Box' on vinyl in 2006 – released another two PiL albums on vinyl in the States earlier this year. 'Flowers of Romance' (4M517) and 'Second Edition' (4M518) were issued on 180 gram vinyl on May 26th 2009.
Rhino Records in the US also re-issued 'Album' - again in 180 gram vinyl - on March 10th 2009 (RHI160438).

The Oscar nominated film 'Waltz with Bashir' - which features 'This Is Not A Love Song by Public Image Ltd - is now available on DVD and Blu-Ray.
The animated Israeli film – directed and written by Ari Folman – tells the story of a young soldier during the 1982 Lebanon war. You can watch the trailer via YouTube; which also includes the PiL track.
